When one wishes to have fun does ones wish to appear sober and mature come in the way?
I do not think I have stage fright. When I get on stage or when the public eye is on me I feel I must not lose the chance to create the image I wish people have about me - a sober and mature man. At the same time I also wish to enjoy the moment to the fullest and not be a spoilsport. Obviously I believe 'Abandon' does not match 'Maturity'. Am I confused? How do I sort this out?
Not at all uncommon, hence the gloriously utterly appalling behaviour of holidaymakers abroad where no one knows them.
How I can become mentally more mature?
Im 19 and I think like 13-14 year old. I know everyone matures at different times but at age 19 is quite embarassing that people still tell me I am immature. How can I grow up? How can I become more mentally mature? I wish I grew up faster.
can't force yourself to mature mentally.

just act mature by acting smarter and less naive.

have a nice day.
Is it rigit what am thnking or what can i do?Will i sacrifice 4her,kill my wishes, hopes?(mature ans plz)?
Me & my girlfrnd loves each other somuch.we both r in same clg.so we find many time 4 romance.we kissed, huged each other.oneday we got very hot & i touch her boobs. She enjoyed it but after i did it she said we crossed limit & cried. Am hurted & promised her not to do it again. Now dere is 7mnths passed 4m dis matter. My gf don't like lipkiss so i don't try it.
But 2day after 7-8mnts she says that we did very wrong thngs like lipkissing, boobtouching(once) in very abset mood.So i relax her & say we won't do it again. Now she is happy.
But i want to knw is it possible in a lv relation without kissing, hugging etc..?Am ready to sacrifice my evry wish for her but i thnk as a girlfrnd she has to fulfil my wishes is it right?should she thnk abt it?
So plz tell me what can i do in this situation?
It sounds like she wants to hold off on the sexual stuff, maybe until marriage. If this is the girl you love and you can see yourself having a future with her, then you have all the time in the world for kissing and boob-touching later. In the mean time, respect her wishes and don't pressure her.

If you don't think you can see yourself being with her for the rest of your life, you'd probably be better off moving on and finding someone who isn't opposed to pre-marital sexual contact.
Isn't it kind of ironic, you spend your youth wishing you were older and more mature?
And when your older and more mature, you long for those days of youth.

I wish I could go back 30 years.
Yes, we always want what we cant have, the irony of humanity.
We can never just settle for what we have and be grateful for it, so before we know it we missed out on both experiences because we were buisy wishing.
How long does it take for boys to mature?
I am really curious on this because i am really maturing pretty quickly and i just wish my boyfreind would aswell. All he likes to do is play video games and never wants to talk. Also he just blows all his money and he has already been accepted into college and his parents arent really wealthy. Heeelp. Please.
I’m a guy and I was about 25 before I had enough sense to fill a thimble. Maturity is an ongoing process. There are different forms of maturity and it can be displayed in different ways.

It sounds to me like you are on the right path. Your boyfriend definitely seems to be less mature at this point. But people do grow and change. If his relative immaturity is causing you problems, you may need to end the relationship. But if you are not having any other problems, you may be just as well to just give him more time and see how things develop.

One caution I’d offer you is that I have seen that sometimes a person’s lack of maturity is enabled by a more mature person. If your boyfriend is always using you to take up the slack for his immaturity you should just get out of the relationship pronto. Do not allow him to use you as a crutch. If he is depending on you to do errands or chores he should be doing; if he usues/blames you as an excuse for his mistakes or to avoid responsibility for his own decisions; or if he is getting money from you to avoid going to work himself - those are classic signs of a user. You deserve better. Move on.

Just for another line of thought: In our current culture it is more accepted for couples to be of the same approximate age. This is largely the result of the age segregation that occurs in schools where guyren spend most of their developmental years sequestered in classes were no one is more than a year older or younger. However, in most of history and in most other cultures it has been an accepted to pair older men with younger women. There is a lot of logic to this since this is more likely to pair couples of equivalent maturities, and there is less likely to be the common problem of one party being willing to "commit" while the other is too immature for such a commitment. So if you are feeling that guys your age are immature, you may wish to consider dating a guy that is a few years older. I have a daughter and I will give her the same advice when she is old enough to date.
In Highschool, when do people start ignoring cliques and just be friendly to everyone and finally get mature?
Seriously, I'm a freshmen, and I don't care about CLIQUES at all. But some people do, and I just wish they'd all grow up. I wish everyone would just hang out with everyone and forget out all the social standards. Does that ever happen, and does it take all the way until senior year for my classmates to finally become mature?
The herd mentality's tendency to embrace the superficial cliches and social standards prevails. Ignore and accept that and take heart... society will catch up with you eventually, but maybe not as soon as your senior year.

Strong personalities [like yours], which are often confused by and independent of cliques, are always eventually valued even though they feel personal loneliness in the meantime. You will always be aware of people around you who are basically immature and unevolved. So ignore them and go ahead, be yourself, mature, strong and wierd! That will free you up for an untold number of experiences that are NOT governed by your social realm - but instead governed ONLY by your personal desires and preferences . LOL. It's hard now but that bravery will pay you in a number of ways later on.
Do boys become more mature in high school?
I hate all of the guys in my 8th grade class because they are mean to all the girls that aren't sluts. I really wish I could date but there's no one to date! So do boys mature and grow out of the 'slut' phase?
No, not in my case. I'm a senior in High School and the boys in my grade still act like the immature, over hyperactive, sex-addicted perverts that they were in middle school.
The only difference is that they no longer make fun of the girls who like to read. But that might be because they know better than to piss off a Twilight fangirl.
Do mature people find it harder to forgive?
because a mature person may rarely mess up. so, they hold every one else to higher standards? a matur eperson is more selfless and expects everyone that way.
i can easily forgive because i have messed up a lot in life and i wish i had not. so, i am very open to forgiving.
Mature people ARE the ones forgiving. It is harder to forget, thinking these people may make the same mistakes again.
Ever wish your questions could get more of a mature answer?
Don't get me wrong, I love Yahoo! Answers. I think it's great hearing from people all around the globe. However, don't you wish Yahoo! Answers could incorporate some sort of age filter on their site? I am so tired of reading one word responses from guys just trying to rack up points. Maybe there should be a separate Yahoo! Answers for guys or something.
i appreciate good well thought out answers, and i appreciate the humorous ones too. i don't mind guys answering, what i don't like is when someone young and in a fragil state asks a question and some sicko makes light of it and rips into them or tells them to do themselves in. what kind of person does something like that?

Why do you think mature people rarely mess up? Mature people make as many mistakes as anyone else, but ideally their maturity allows them to cope with their mistakes in a reasonable manner.
I think maturity implies that you would find it easier to forgive, not harder.
